Lokendra Sharma

Staff Research Analyst for the High-Tech Geopolitics Programme

Lokendra Sharma is a Staff Research Analyst working with the High-Tech Geopolitics Programme at the Takshashila Institution in Bengaluru.

Interests: Broadly interested in technology geopolitics, he closely follows and writes about developments in cyber and nuclear domains.

The central question that guides Lokendra’s research at Takshashila is how India can script her technological future amid the geopolitical shifts underway. He has also published in academic journals such as the Journal of the Indian Ocean Region and Journal of Cyber Policy. His Google Scholar profile is here.

You can also check out Beyond Citations — Lokendra’s sub-newsletter under the Technopolitik umbrella — that grounds vital tech developments in foundational scholarship.

Teaching: Lokendra thoroughly enjoys teaching the cohorts of Takshashila’s flagship policy course Graduate Certificate in Public Policy. He teaches politics of the Information Age, internet governance geopolitics and complexity mapping.

Contact: For media quotes, collaborations and other queries, Lokendra can be contacted at lokendra[at]takshashila[dot]org[dot]in
