Professor and the Head of Takshashila’s Geospatial Programme

Dr. Nithiyanandam, Professor and Head of the Geospatial Research Program at Takshashila Institution, is a leading academician and one of the foremost experts in geospatial intelligence. Dr. Nithiyanandam is also the lead author of the ‘Takshashila Geospatial Bulletin,’ a monthly publication renowned for its research-driven insights derived from geospatial intelligence. His research portfolio encompasses a broad range of areas, including advanced remote sensing, image processing, GIS analytics, and the specialized fields of urban and ocean informatics, along with geospatial policy. He was awarded the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship and is an alumnus of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Nithiyanandam has also established geospatial programs at leading higher education institutions in India and has collaborated/engaged with globally recognized geospatial institutions for research purposes.
