Brigadier Anil Raman
Research Fellow for the Geostrategy Programme
Brigadier Anil Raman (Retd) is a Research Fellow at the Takshashila Institution, and Head of the Defence Fellowship Program. He has command and staff experience on disputed borders and counter insurgency. He has been a REDFOR analyst, a senior instructor at the Army War College and has attended the higher air command course at the College of Air Warfare. A former Visiting Fellow at the U.S. National Defense University, he earned his master’s from the University of Wyoming, focusing on U.S. foreign policy decision-making towards India in the Clinton and Bush presidencies. His current research focuses on American domestic politics, and foreign policy making; as well as future conflict paradigms and military operations.
