Abhishek Kadiyala

Research Analyst for the Indo-Pacific Programme

Abhishek Kadiyala is a Research Analyst with the Indo-Pacific Studies Programme at the Takshashila Institution. His work focuses on the intersection of US domestic politics, US–India relations, and the strategic dynamics shaping the Indo-Pacific.

He curates the ‘DC Dossier’, a newsletter that analyses US congressional legislation and political developments impacting India. He also manages the ‘The US Trade Tracker’, which provides timely insights into US trade negotiations, tariff measures, and their strategic and economic implications.

Before joining Takshashila, Abhishek worked as a project developer for UNESCO’s OE4BW programme and held research positions at think tanks and research centres, focusing on international security, intelligence and conflict studies.

Abhishek is also a published author, with his inaugural book, Expeditionary — a historical non-fiction work on the Allied landings in Normandy during the Second World War. His body of work also includes several research papers, articles, and book chapters across themes in international relations and strategy.

He completed his Master’s in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London, where he was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s India Award. He also graduated from St. Joseph’s College, Bengaluru, with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, International Relations, and Public Policy.
