Dr Sanjaya Baru

Sanjaya Baru is Founder-Trustee, Forum for National Security Studies, India. He has been Editor, The Financial Express and Business Standard and Editorial Page Editor, The Times of India and Indian Express. He was Media Advisor and Speechwriter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Baru was Director for Geo-economics and Strategy, International Institute of Strategic Studies, London (2011-16) and a member of India’s National Security Advisory Board (1999-2001). Baru has been on the faculty of Department of Economics, University of Hyderabad and Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations, Delhi. He has lectured at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore, Indian School of Public Policy, Delhi and the National Defence College, India. He was on the Board of Centre for Policy Research, Delhi and has been a Distinguished Fellow with the United Services Institution of India.
