Post Graduate Programme

Common questions.

Answers to questions we hear most often about the Post Graduate Programme — application requirements, fees, scholarships, the weekly schedule, and the in-person workshops.

No. We have not sought approval from any government body. Our priority is to offer the best public policy education in India to individuals who seek it.
We do not offer formal placements. As a not-for-profit organisation with extensive connections to both the public and private sectors, we have a vast network of stakeholders, and our established alumni serve as valuable points of contact. We are happy to facilitate connections where possible.
Individuals with an undergraduate degree in any field are welcome to apply. The PGP requires a minimum of two years of work experience — this is preferred, but not strictly obligatory.
No. Students from anywhere are welcome. All webinars run on IST (Saturdays, 9:30am–3:30pm), so check whether that time works for you.
Fundamental computer skills and a reliable broadband connection (256 kbps or above) are recommended. Sessions are delivered online; attend live webinars from a laptop or desktop computer.
Applicants submit a CV, a Statement of Purpose (max 750 words), and a Policy Essay (750 words) analysing a policy issue of your choice.
Yes. Applicants who apply by the early-bird deadline receive a 10% scholarship on programme fees. Students who have completed our Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (GCPP) receive a 20% alumni scholarship on PGP fees. Early-bird applicants who are also GCPP alumni qualify only for the 20% alumni scholarship — the two scholarships are not stackable.
Apply for financial support only if you genuinely cannot afford the programme without it. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available; decisions are made case-by-case at the application interview stage. You'll be asked to explain your need and may be required to submit supporting documents.
Attendance at all in-person workshops is mandatory to make the most of your learning journey. If extenuating circumstances arise, we're happy to discuss accommodations on a case-by-case basis.
The PGP includes in-person workshops held in Delhi, Goa, and Bangalore (one each). Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the programme fee — participants bear them.
Live webinars run on Saturdays, 9:30am–3:30pm IST. We require a minimum 70% attendance for each course in the programme — students who attend 70% or more typically perform well. Falling below the threshold for any course incurs a grade-point penalty on that course's final grade.
Yes, all webinars are recorded and available for later access. We encourage students to attend live where possible to engage directly with guest lecturers and cohort mates.
Roughly 12–15 hours per week, including readings, assignments, and live sessions. Every student works at a different pace — this estimate is a general guideline.
