Prateek Waghre was quoted in Rest of World on Koo's emerging prominence in Nigeria. Rest of World reported that Koo is selling itself in Nigeria as a substitute to Twitter after the latter was blocked in the country last month. Prateek was quoted as saying,

“[Koo] can still, theoretically, differentiate itself by claiming to have a higher commitment to local understanding. In doing so, it will also be setting a higher bar for itself to deal with challenges that far better-resourced companies have also struggled to solve.”
