We are looking for a research analyst who is committed to conducting fresh and original research aimed at upgrading India’s law enforcement system. By fostering evidence-based research and development, the analyst is expected to generate practical policy ideas and explore avenues for police reforms.
Responsibilities:
Write a daily/weekly newsletter on law enforcement and policing issues in India
Building frameworks for evidence-based policing in India and identifying use cases
Supporting the Fellows of the Law Enforcement and Policing Fellowship with research-related inputs and queries
Drafting written materials, including reports, policy briefs, blog posts, fact sheets, and op-eds
Working with the Media and Outreach team to disseminate research publications and findings
Engaging with external stakeholders, including policy makers, as necessary
Eligibility:
An in-depth understanding of the procedural, governance and law & order system in India
Familiarity with datasets, publications and media ecosystem used to undertake research on surveillance, crime reporting, forensics, detecting and tracing cybercrimes, hacking, financial crimes, and illegal trade among others
Technology policy skills or legal skills would be a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented, self-starter and goal oriented.
Preference for those with at least a Master’s degree in law, public policy, journalism or science domains or with a background in forensics, crime reporting & data science from a recognised institution.
Retired police officers, crime journalists, technology professionals, academicians, and lawyers with a focus on criminal law are encouraged to apply
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly in writing
Ability to multitask on projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping: Oversee and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards.
Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including GST and TDS, by preparing and filing necessary returns accurately and on time.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and clients.
Party Ledger Maintenance: Maintain detailed party ledgers to track outstanding balances, manage disputes, and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
Prepare comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports, offering valuable insights for informed decision-making by the management.
Handled annual book closure and audit support to finalize the books of accounts.
Preparation of provisional and projected financial statements and other estimated reports of sales, expenses.
Technical Skills
MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Tally ERP9 and Tally Prime
Requirements:
Fresher or 1 year experience in the finance field.
Strong ability to prioritize & multi-task.
Capable of building strong relationships with other individuals and stakeholders in order to accomplish tasks and achieve goals.
Respect for confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information is a must.
