Takshashila's Nitin Pai speaks at the Young Leader Forum held by the British High Commission in Mumbai.Young leaders discuss women's issues, freedom of speech"The afternoon’s panel dealt with issues of civil liberties and the freedom of speech and featured Nitin Pai, director of The Takshashila Institution, a think tank, Tehelka journalist Rana Ayyub and Rohit Bansal fellow of the Observer Research Foundation.Pai highlighted that the problem of censorship was tied up with issues of intolerance and competitive politics.“Because it is competitive and overlaid on our electoral set-up the government succumbs,” he said. “The state has been incapable of solving this.”
