Takshashila Institution and Niskanen Center to Host a Series of Online Discussions “Beyond the Pandemic: A Battle for Ideas”

The Takshashila Institution and the Niskanen Center are conducting a series of interactive online conversations Beyond the Pandemic: A Battle for Ideas.

Erosion of democracies, polarised politics and nationalism trends accelerating, the idea of moderation has come under attack. Calls for social justice and effective governance in the midst of a global pandemic have only intensified the increasing need for policies more closely aligned with the ideas of liberalism, open societies, and market dynamism. 

This 3-part series will review how policies of moderation can impact the U.S., India, and beyond. In each conversation, experts from both organisations will invite questions as they explore and debate broad themes such as Liberal Democracy, Free Markets and Open Societies.
