Takshashila appoints an Ombudsman

The Takshashila Institution is an independent and non-partisan organisation that advocates economic freedom, an open society, a culture of tolerance and realism in international affairs. The trustees have instituted an Ombudsman to uphold Takshashila's values and compliance with the Code of Conduct announced in 2013. The five-point code applies to all staff, fellows, scholars, full time faculty and members of the Takshashila Institution.Niranjan Rajadhyaksha, a member of the board of trustees, has been appointed as our first Ombudsman. People can directly write to him from our website. In addition, the Ombudsman will gather feedback on public & stakeholders' perception of the institution's independence.Non-partisanship does not mean non-engagement. On the contrary, Takshashila's policy remains to engage with all political parties while remaining firmly independent of them. We believe that engagement with the political process is an important aspect in achieving public outcomes in a democracy.
