Pavan Srinath Delivers Guest Lecture at IIJNM

Pavan Srinath, Fellow at the Centre for Smart City Governance at Takshashila, delivered a guest lecture at the Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media (IIJNM) on 29 August 2016.

Pavan provided a detailed context of how Indian cities have developed administratively and politically over time. He also spoke about the challenges our country faced in overturning the notion that India still lives in her villages.

The lecture was delivered to more than 90 students of IIJNM’s post-graduate diploma on journalism as part of their module in liberal arts. Various topics were covered in the lecture such as urban governance and public policy, the challenges, and complexities of governing a large metropolis like Bangalore.
