Anupam Manur, Professor of Economics at the Takshashila Institution, was quoted in The Migration Story on how politics over jobs alienates migrants.

He was quoted as saying, "whenever there is acute unemployment problem in India, the resultant protest often takes place in the form of demand for reservation. India’s youth account for nearly 83% of unemployed workforce, said an ILO (International Labour Organisation) report from earlier this year which the government has objected to.”
