Capacity Building for Think Tanks & Civil Society Organisations

The Takshashila Institution in collaboration with the US Consulate Chennai, hosted Steven Bennett, VP & COO of Brookings Institute, James McGann, Director, Think Tanks and Foreign Policy Program, University of Pennsylvania and Andrew Selee, Executive Vice President of the Wilson Center on Friday, May 1.The discussion focused on capacity building for think tanks through better collaboration, communication and knowledge exchange. Participants broadly agreed that more can be done in terms of inter-think tank engagement, which has the potential to widen the reach and enhance the impact of work done by these organisations independently.Participants included members and staff from Takshashila Institution, Janaagraha centre for citizenship and democracy, Bangalore political action committee, City connect, and Inklude Labs Bangalore.
