Agnipath Conference

The Takshashila Institution organised a roundtable conference, 'How to Make Agnipath Work?' on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Takshashila's office in Bengaluru. The session's objective was to generate ideas and solutions to make the Agnipath recruitment scheme more effective. The panellists were Lt. General Prakash Menon, Major General J.V. Prasad, Rear Admiral Sudhir Pillai, Air Marshal Anil Khosla, Amit Cowshish, and Dr Renuka Sane. Pranay Kotasthane, deputy director of the Takshashila Institution moderated the discussion. 

The discussion focused on finding effective solutions for addressing the concerns raised regarding the Agnipath scheme, particularly with respect to entry-level requirements and post-exit prospects of Agniveers. The discussion also touched upon the questions raised regarding the military effectiveness of Agniveers and steps to improve their combat effectiveness in the three services.
