- US President Donald Trump announced an extension of the pause on US strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure by 10 days, to April 6, as US stocks plummeted to a new record loss since the start of the war.
- Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his government has not engaged in talks to end the war “and we do not plan on any negotiations,” contradicting Trump’s assertion.
- Iran rejected the US ceasefire proposal and issued its own five-point plan via state media, demanding: a halt to killings of its officials, guarantees against future war, reparations, an end to all hostilities including against resistance groups, and Iran’s continued exercise of sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz confirmed that Israel killed Alireza Tangsiri, the head of the IRGC’s navy, in an overnight strike. Tangsiri was described as the officer behind attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
- Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry reported destroying at least eight drones in its oil-rich eastern province. Missile alert sirens also sounded in Bahrain. Kuwait shot down multiple drones but confirmed that one hit a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport.

- Israel said it plans a “prolonged” ground invasion in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah, with the IDF advancing toward the Litani River, approximately 10 to 20 miles north of the Israeli border.
