- Prior to the ceasefire, on April 7, the Indian Embassy in Tehran issued an urgent advisory for Indian nationals in Iran to shelter in place, remain indoors, and avoid all movements for 48 hours due to the escalating security situation. Citizens were advised to avoid military and electrical installations and high-rise buildings.

- Indian markets rallied sharply following the ceasefire announcement. The Nifty 50 rose 3.58% to 23,953.80 and the Sensex gained 3.74% to close at 77,408.32.

- House Democrats filed articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump following his remarks against Iran stating “a whole civilization will die,” which members argued indicated a potential willingness to use nuclear weapons.
- Some members also expressed intent to file articles of impeachment against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for alleged war crimes during the Iran air campaign, involving threats to or targeting of civilian infrastructure.
- A separate push emerged among some members to invoke the 25th Amendment, whereby the Vice President, Cabinet, and Congress can collectively move to remove the President from office if he is deemed unable to perform his duties.
