Rebels without a pause
“But policy expert Nitin Pai contends, “Both online and one-the-ground movements succeed or fail for various reasons. We can identify several factors: a compelling narrative, charismatic leaders, the ease of protest, the moment in time, availability of financing, network effects and so on. Some or all of these are necessary for success. Social media mobilisations help ease information gaps and improve coordination.”
