Takshashila Institution conducts the third workshop for its cohort of PGP students

The Takshashila Institution hosted the third contact workshop for the Post-Graduate Programme in Public Policy (PGP) from 18 October to 20 October 2019.

The first day of the workshop began with a session on Contemporary Issues in the Indian Economy by Narayan Ramachandran, former country head of Morgan Stanley in India and columnist at Mint. The second session was a student-driven seminar on Indian defence policy, chaired by Lt General (Dr) Prakash Menon, Director of the Strategic Studies Programme at The Takshashila Institution. The third session was conducted by Ganapathy Venugopal, Co-Founder, and CEO of Axilor Ventures on entrepreneurship in public policy. The last session of the day was conducted by Rahul Matthan, Partner, Trilegal, on introduction to tech policy. 

The second day was focused on providing students with feedback on their capstone projects, which ranged from smart mobility to reforms in agricultural policy.  Anupam Manur, Assistant Professor at The Takshashila Institution then conducted Nagara (Takshashila’s democracy simulation game) with the students and external guests. 

The third and final day of the workshop began with a session on Platform Economics, conducted by Anupam Manur. It was followed by sessions on Effective Public Policy Communication & Strategic Media Engagement, taken by Rahul Sharma, Managing Director of APCO worldwide.
