The Takshashila Institution hosted Dr. S Chandrasekharan, formerly with the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), for a talk at their offices in Ulsoor, Bengaluru on 7 October 2016.
Dr. Chandrasekharan also holds a Ph.D in Water Resources. He served as a former Secretary to the Government of India and was also the number two in India’s external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). Dr Chandrasekharan is also the founder-director of India’s premier think tank South Asia Analysis Group (SAAG).
Given his extensive experience, Dr Chandrasekharan gave a detailed insight on the Indus Water Treaty and its provisions. He also touched upon the socio-economic impact of the treaty between India and Pakistan.
