Takshashila Conducts its Second Workshop for GCSS3

The Takshashila Institution conducted the second contact workshop for the Graduate Certificate in Strategic Studies (GCSS) programme from 30 November to 02 December 2018 at Discovery Village, Nandi Hills. The workshop comprised three days of intense experiential learning delivered through Exercise Amrut, Takshashila’s crisis simulation game. Designed to hone skills such as crisis management, negotiating and decision-making through role-playing, Exercise Amrut is a unique component of the GCSS.

In this edition of the game, teams were mentored by former National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon who gave valuable insights about the conduct of policy to achieve strategic objectives.

The third cohort of the GCSS has students drawn from a rich variety of professional and educational backgrounds. Participants include researchers, software professionals, students, and consultants working with governments.

The GCSS programme runs for a period of 12 weeks and is suited for active students and working professionals of various backgrounds. Applications for the next cohort are now open.
