This Blue Paper on the contemporary role of airpower was prepared as a result of discussions with AVM Arjun Subramaniam. The discussions were held as part of Takshashila’s Bangalore Fellows Programme.
The Blue Paper addresses the following questions:
- How does India go towards a mixed force structure of manned aircraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles?
- How can air power be used for asymmetric or 4th generation warfare (4GW)?
- What are some of the concerns with the joint command structure?
- How can air power be used as a tool of diplomacy and humanitarian assistance? & others.
