Takshashila hosted the second weekend workshop in Bangalore for students from the eleventh intake of the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy course between 31st July and 2nd August 2015. The workshop was conducted in the outskirts of Bangalore, in a resort at the foothills of Nandi Hills.
Over three days, students formed teams to propose solutions to reform the legal system for better ease of doing business. Students solutions were designed keeping in mind the multiple factors and challenges that go into policy-making. Lecturers at the workshop included Nitin Pai, Pavan Srinath, Pranay Kotasthane, Anupam Manur, and Madhav Chandavarkar. The final presentations were evaluated by Abhishek Goyal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes), Bangalore and M R Madhavan, head of PRS Legislative Research.
The workshop was the second of two contact sessions that form an offline complement to the largely online certificate course offered by the Takshashila Institution. The course runs for a period of 12 weeks and is suited for active students, working professionals and those of various backgrounds.
