Nandi Hills, Bangalore, 15-17 November 2019
Students of The Takshashila Institution’s Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (Technology & Policy), GCPP (TP) programme attended a 3-day residential workshop at the Discovery Village, Nandi Hills. Students engaged in a policy framing exercise focused on social impact. They also got a hands-on experience of the complexities of public policymaking through Nagara, a roleplay-based democracy game designed by Takshashila.
The discussions and debates were intense, thanks to a diverse cohort comprising entrepreneurs, software professionals, consultants as well as students.
This workshop is a great excercise to understand citizen’s role in the government. Earlier I had no idea about the complexities involved in policy making, this course has opened my eyes to them. Also the diverse people I got to meet here were not only inspiring, they opened my eyes to the different kinds of opportunities out there. It was definitely an amazing experience!
