Nagara simulates how public challenges are addressed in a democratic setup like India. Set in a bustling neighbourhood of a large Indian city, players can assume key roles and play out various scenarios.
The game needs a minimum of nine players who represent the various stakeholder interests. The players participate in 15 rounds of discussions, persuasion and fun.
Each player is provided with a set of action cards through which they can raise Public Interest Litigations, file Right to Information plea against authorities, ask for media coverage etc.
The game also includes a round of campaigning and elections following which the players assess how successful they have been in achieving the objectives they set out for themselves at the start.
