India in 2015 – Perspectives on Politics, Economics and Defence

The Takshashila Institution in collaboration with the British Deputy High Commission (Bangalore) organised a workshop for the delegates from the Royal College of Defence Studies.

The half-day workshop titled India in 2015 – Perspectives on Politics, Economics and Defence was held at the Taj West End, Bangalore on June 5th, 2015.

As a part of the workshop, Prof. Rajeev Gowda, Rajya Sabha MP and AICC Spokesperson, provided an overview of Indian politics. Saurabh Chandra, a technology entrepreneur, discussed the Indian IT sector and its international relevance. Nitin Pai explained the nuances of Indian economy to the delegates. Rajan Govil, Fellow for Geoeconomics at the Takshashila Institution, spoke on the geo-economics of India, and Pranay Kotasthane, Research Fellow at Takshashila Institution, talked about India’s grand strategy.
