The Takshashila Institution awarded the Gomtibai Govindji Prize to Anirudh Menon, from the 12th batch of the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (GCPP), for distinction in the study of public policy. The Gomtibai Govindji Prize has been instituted by her family to recognise the best performing student in the Takshashila GCPP. The prize comprises of a cash award and a citation.
I found the GCPP course to be a useful link between my past experiences and my plans of working in the policy sector. The course taught me how to engage with diverse and sometimes competing interests of stakeholders. I have been able to fully appreciate the policy making process and learn how policies often interact and can have unintended consequences. The network of brilliant faculty and students has also proven to be invaluable.
Anirudh is currently pursuing Master of Public Administration in the United Kingdom.
The Graduate Certificate in Public Policy is Takshashila’s flagship educational programme. The 12-week course is networked and largely online, and meant for working professionals and full time students from across the world. The course is offered three times a year. Applications are currently open for the summer cohort.
