First weekend workshop held for the eleventh GCPP cohort

Takshashila hosted the first weekend workshop in New Delhi for students from the elevent cohort of the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy course between 3rd and 5th of July, 2015. The workshop took place at India International Centre.

Speakers at the workshop included Bharat Karnad, Adm Anup Singh, MR Madhavan, PD Rai, Sushant Singh, Mihir Sharma, Vinay Kumar Singh, Nitin Pai, Pavan Srinath and Pranay Kotasthane.

The workshop sessions had an eclectic mix of topics. India’s nuclear strategy, economic reasoning, India’s grand strategy, economic reforms, Navy’s role in maritime security, working of the Indian Parliament and narratives in public policy were some of the topics discussed.

Over thirty students apart from other guests and alumni attended the workshop. The workshop was the first of two contact sessions that form an offline complement to the largely online certificate course offered by the Takshashila Institution. The course runs for a period of 12 weeks and is suited for active students and working professionals and those of various backgrounds.
