Takshashila trains Mint & Hindustan Times staff on Data Journalism

The Takshashila Institution conducted a 3-day course on data journalism for about 20 journalists and staff from Mint and Hindustan Times, during Jan 19-21, 2016.

Karthik Shashidhar and Pavan Srinath trained the participants on writing data stories, handling data, drawing insights, using effective visualisations and more. Over three days, the participants were tasked with developing stories and charts based on sample data sets, apart from attending lectures and participating in discussions. The training took place at the Mint office in New Delhi.
