Analysing India Post-Uri Through a Conflict Escalation Framework

These slides interpret the “surgical strikes” conducted after the Uri terrorist attacks, using the India—Pakistan Conflict Escalation Framework. Based on this framework, the document proposes factors that can help make an Operational Conventional Retaliation work.

This paper was presented at  the Takshashila Roundtable on 3rd November, 2016 in New Delhi. It incorporates the points made by the panellists.
