Takshashila hosted the first weekend workshop for students from the nineteenth cohort of the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (GCPP). The workshop was held at the TERI, Bangalore from 23-25 February, 2018.
The faculty at the workshop included Dr Mandira Kala, Rahul Matthan, Anupam Manur and Pavan Srinath. The workshop covered a plethora of interesting topics which included frameworks for public policymaking, economic reasoning, state of Indian parliament, Data Privacy, fundamentals of writing well, and narratives in policymaking.
Over 45 students with diverse professional and educational backgrounds attended the workshop. The workshop will be followed by live online webinars on various policy related subjects, taught by domain experts over the coming weeks.
The workshop was the first of two contact sessions that form the offline complement to the largely online GCPP course offered by the Takshashila Institution. The Takshashila GCPP runs for a period of 12 weeks and is suited for active students and working professionals and various backgrounds.
