The Takshashila Institution is inviting applications for the second batch of the Takshashila Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) in Public Policy.
The Takshashila PGP is academically rigorous and attuned to the current requirements of industry, media, social sector and politics. Over a duration of 48 weeks, the PGP equips participants with a core set of skills in policy evaluation, economic reasoning, effective communication and public persuasion.
The PGP comprises of lectures, exercises and experiential learning sessions with some of the most eminent academics, journalists and practitioners in the public policy sphere. The programme also encompasses multiple contact workshops in combination with experiential learning sessions. The programme also comprises highly nuanced thematic webinars from domain experts.
Some of the prominent faculty for the Takshashila PGP include Dr. Pratap Bhanu Mehta, Vice Chancellor, Ashoka University, Dr. Sunil Khilnani, Avantha Chair and is the Director of India Institute at King's College London, and Dr. Sanjaya Baru, Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) among others.
The first batch had 22 students carefully selected from a multitude of applicants with diverse backgrounds ranging from CEOs, a BBMP Corporator, independent researchers, political consultants and aspiring politicians. The students are already engaged in their final projects and some of them have successfully started careers in public policy.
